Personal Accident Cover
Our cover helps give you peace of mind and can provide your family with financial support in the event of your accidental death or permanent injury.
Personal Accident Plan policies were sold alongside home or motor policies or offered through banks and building societies.

What am I covered for?

You are covered for a range of specified benefits, meaning we will pay you a lump sum if an accident causes your permanent:
- total disability
- loss of sight, hearing and/or speech
- loss of use of any finger, toe, elbow, wrist, ankle, knee, hip and/or shoulder.
- loss of use of one or two limbs.
- If the accident is fatal, a lump sum will be paid to your loved ones
- A daily cash benefit can be claimed for every 24 hours you stay in hospital following an accident (excluding the first 72 hours).
- Worldwide cover for accidental injury or death anywhere in the world, so long as your permanent residence is in the UK.
- Benefit(s) will be paid even if you have similar cover elsewhere
You are not covered for...
- Injury or death caused solely by sickness, disease, naturally occurring condition or degenerative process.
- Injuries that don’t result in permanent loss of function (e.g., sprains, soft tissue injuries and broken bones).
- Dangerous activities such as motorcycle riding, scuba diving or rock climbing
- Exposing yourself to danger while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, not prescribed by a medical practitioner.
Your policy has no cash in or maturity value and may be subject to Inheritance Tax.
